El Mobile Equipment supplier of concrete batching plants for the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim project in Dakar in order to produce 130 000 cubic meters of concrete in Dakar.
Eiffage Génie Civil Marinehas entrusted EI Mobile Equipmentdivision of Eiffage Infraestructuras, a Spanish subsidiary of Eiffage Route, the supply of concrete batching plants to build the breakwater of the Tortue / Ahmeyim gas terminal located on the maritime borders of Mauritania and Senegal.
EI Mobile Equipmenthas already assembled the first plant in Dakar, Senegal. Discharged on August 5th, the assembly safely and quickly concluded, on August 19th. This plant, together with the second one that will be assembled in September, will be used for manufacturing 130,000 tons of concretein the next 17 months and is expected to provide over 600 local jobs throughout the construction phase of the project.
BP awarded the construction of the gas terminal facilities on the maritime border between Senegal and Mauritania to a consortium led by Eiffage in April 2018
The Consortium worked on optimizing the design of the marine infrastructures, matured the execution plan, and prepared the launching of EPCI Phase.
Its mission now is to create the berthing facilities for the LNG hub offshore terminal, where the production of liquefied natural gas will be carried out, and a breakwater consisting of 21 concrete caissons made with 16 500 tons each that will protect the facilities.
